Purpose

To take care of the health and safety of our visitors and collaborators in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Objective

To implement and provide all proper procedures in terms of service, hygene and disinfection of common areas, work places, activity areas and gear for clients and collaborators; this way avoiding physical contact and exchange of items between people as much as possible.

Todos nuestros colaboradores serán sometidos diariamente a pruebas básicas, con el objetivo de que no presente ningún síntoma relacionado con el COVID 19 y, ante cualquier duda, se remitirá a las instancias de salud correspondientes para su evaluación.

 Care for the Environment

  • Disinfectant liquids employed for cleaning and sanitation are biodegradable.

  • The use of disposable face masks from our collaborators is forbidden. 

  • Responsible residue management.

  • Special water and electricity saving equipment will be used for disinfection and sanitation.

  • We will not use plastic in the adventure gear packages nor on the kitchen packages (plate, cuttlery and napkin) we provide for our guests.

  • If the need of disposables (e.g. cups, plates or cluttery) arises, these will be compostables and/or biodegradable.

  • We will reduce the use of paper by 100%  by using digital formats for promotions, advertising, brochures and waivers.


How We Care To Preserve?

Training 

  • Our collaborators received training on behalf of IMSS for a total of 8 hours.

  • In addition to that, there was a training on behalf of Florida’s Nurse Association (INTELYCARE) for a total of 2 hours.

  • All our collaborators in each destination were trained under H&H’s Protocol Manual’s new protocols and they receive constant updates.

Personal Protection Equipment

  • Every collaborator will use the Personal Protection Equipment necessary for his or her role:

  • Goggles or full face mask

  • Facemask

  • Gloves (when necessary)

Health

  • At the beginning of every work day, every collaborator will answer a medical questionnaire and his/her temperature will be taken.

  • In case of presenting any symptoms, “Protocolo COVID alcance – LABS” is activated

Visitors

  • Temperature will be taken upon arrival with a “contact less” thermometer.

  • Before they board the vehicle, each passenger will be given antibacterial gel and we will verify that they each wear a face mask.

  • During the entirety of the expedition, we will ask passengers to maintain proper social distance for everyone’s safety (min. 1.5mts)

  • The guide and all Rancho Cacachilas personnel will maintain their social distance from the passenger throughout their expedition.

  • Passengers will find signs of prevention and personal hygiene throughout their expedition.

Hygiene & Cleaning

  • All common areas will be subjected to deep cleaning and a sanitization process in accordance with National and International regulations.

  • All adventure gear: hiking poles, saddles, bikes, helmets, etc., will be sanitized (in accordance with the maker’s procedures) after every use and it will be delivered in a package to each passenger at the beginning of every expedition.

  • Mountain bike equipment will be disinfected after every use

  • Toilets will be disinfected after every use

  • Constant contact areas like handrails, keys, handles, etc. Will be disinfected at least every 30min.

  • There will be disinfectant stands (antibacterial gel and clean towels) in different locations at the Ranch.

  • Signs on prevention and hygiene will be available throughout the Ranch.

Reception & Briefings

  • The reception of the passengers will be “contact less”, maintaining a safe distance of 1.5mt.

  • Adventure briefings will be had at a safe distance and all our staff will be wearing personal protection gear (i.e. glasses, gloves and facemask)

  • We will have electronic waivers to be filled with their own devices through a QR code or a link via email.

  • Throughout the activities like MTB, mule rides and hiking, we will maintain and reinforce the “no touch” policy.

Transportation

  • All our vehicles will be sanitized by fogging after each use.

  • A daily cleaning will be done with disinfectant liquids. 

  • Each vehicle will have antibacterial gel available for passengers, guides and operators.

  • After each service, the operator will apply disinfectant liquid in all the constant contact elements (handles, armrests, rails, handrails, etc.) 

  • Capacity will be reduced in a 25% when applied 

  • Installation of safe distancing signage and the use of a facemask

Food & Beverage Services

  • Chairs and tables will be disinfected after each use, as will be the whole dining area after the operation.

  • Strict control on food management in the kitchen, all in accordance of Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations.

  • The capacity of our dining areas will be reduced to 50%, maintaining the safe distancing between each table (see example below)

  • We will remove constant use elements (salt shakers, napkin holders, decoration, etc.)

  • We will still provide buffet service but now in an assisted manner, this way avoiding contact between visitors and utensils

  • Napkins and cutlery will be provided to each visitor packed and sealed
