Experience a true farm-to-table journey in the heart of the Sierra, where every ingredient begins with respect for nature.

At Rancho Cacachilas, you’ll learn to prepare traditional picadillo or tamales using fresh ingredients harvested directly from our gardens and ranch, grown under practices that honor the balance of the ecosystem.

We celebrate cooking as an act of community and conservation. At the end, we gather around the table to enjoy the dishes we prepared together.

ITINERARY:

We’ve prepared a tailor-made private itinerary that blends the best of Baja’s traditional cuisine with an immersive ranch experience.

  • Private Cooking Class – Recommended start time: 9:00 am (approx. 5 hours)

  • Upon arrival, you’ll ride in our fun Safari Trucks, enjoying the stunning landscapes around the property.

  • At Rancho Gaspareño, you’ll explore the saddle room, corrals, and harvest fresh greens from our organic garden—no pesticides, just pure flavors straight from the soil.

  • Then, our staff, led by local cooks and our kitchen team, will guide you through the traditional flavors of a Sudcaliforniano ranch.

  • Our bilingual nature guides will be with you throughout, sharing the stories behind each ingredient and protein from ranch to table.
